New Release: Saints Row 2

When I first played Saints Row, I couldn't help comparing it to the Grand Theft Auto series. But after spending countless hours driving around Stilwater, I came to appreciate Saints Row, its great game-play, and many great features that improved upon the standard GTA formula. Yesterday, Saints Row 2 hit store shelves and it looks pretty good.

Want to know more about the game? Would you like to watch some trailers and video reviews of Saints Row 2? All that and more after the jump!

After all the crazy ads and hype surrounding Saints Row 2's release, one question remains: is it a good game? Should you go out and spend $59.99 and take to the streets of Stilwater again? According to GameRankings.com and Metacritic, the answer is a resounding "yes" with the game picking up meta-scores of 85% and 83% respectively. Not too bad for a game that prides itself on chaos, violence, wanton destruction, streaking, and the spraying of fecal matter throughout a bustling, virtual metropolis.

Before I get to the video reviews (who needs reading?), lets' take a look at a couple trailers for Saints Row 2.

Trailers look pretty good, huh? In case you're still unsure about picking up your very own copy of Saints Row 2, here are a couple video reviews for you.

If you like what you see, I'd recommend picking up your very own copy of Saints Row 2 for either the Xbox 360 (my personal favourite) or the PlayStation 3.

Have a good one!
