Mass Effect, Beats, PSP Go, and a Vacation

I'm going to keep it very brief today.

I played a bunch of Mass Effect over the weekend. I managed to pick up all of the weapon expert and talent specialist achievements. I'd say the whole process took me about five hours worth of playing time. It got a little dull and repetitive but it also helped prepare me for my playthrough on Hardcore difficulty. My Hardcore playthrough is going well. I've only completed one major mission: the Bring Down The Sky DLC. It was a solid two hours of moderate difficulty running and gunning on a rogue asteroid. My squad of Kaiden, Wrex, and Shepard (as a level 50+ adept) were able to make short work of most opposition.

I also picked up another PSP Go. This one worked perfectly and came with an additional $40 discount. It only took me 20 minutes to set it up excluding the initial battery charging time. I have to say that I'm really loving the PSP Go. I'm currently playing Beats which is an amazing little game. Take any rhythm game, add cool visualizations, hand pick your soundtrack, and you have Beats. And did I mention that Beats is only $5! Amazing!

Finally, I bought a new retail copy of Mass Effect 2. It should arrive within the week. Of course, I still have to finish two full playthroughs of Mass Effect before I fire up ME2. The question is: will I be able to hold off or will I jump right in? It's hard to say...but I do have a four-day weekend coming up!

This will be my only post this week. I'm very busy outside of gaming and I'll be taking a four-day mini-vacation starting this coming Thursday. I'll be back next week with more about Mass Effect and any other games I happen to play.

I'll leave you with trailers for Mass Effect 2 and Beats. Have a good one!
